And the Ivy Shrouds an Endless Wall
And the ivy shrouds an endless wall,
beyond it, the people run in shame –
Midnight looms, the end doth call.
Forfeiture, fire, fancies and flame –
to whom do we owe this hollowed fame?
And the ivy shrouds an endless wall.
Bloodied and gaping, the remnants remain –
she lays in wait to torture and tame –
midnight looms, the end doth call.
Not you, but all will follow in shame –
memories begrudging, they can not retain.
And the ivy shrouds an endless wall.
Corrosion of life, our sorrows do maim,
those judging us will only defame,
midnight looms, the end doth call.
Sit back, relax and just take the blame.
Everlasting Abyss, how now do you claim?
And the ivy shrouds an endless wall,
Midnight looms, the end doth call.
beyond it, the people run in shame –
Midnight looms, the end doth call.
Forfeiture, fire, fancies and flame –
to whom do we owe this hollowed fame?
And the ivy shrouds an endless wall.

The Debauchery
Little did he know he was making love to a ghost,
When rain was in the air,
And the hope she could be cherished is what she dreamt of most.
She always came with lightening speed when he said that he’d be there,
His motives taming, ever taunting,
When the rain was in the air.
She was trapped, caught by his power, ever daunting,
Devouring her mere thoughts, his words her intellect did respect…
His motives taming, ever taunting.
She would cry, she would scream but in attitude, genuflect
Caught in a never-ending cycle, relentlessly to please.
Devouring her mere thoughts, his words her intellect did respect…
He had other means by which to bring her to her knees,
Since the precipice had long been calling to them,
Caught in a never-ending cycle, relentlessly to please.
Blood began to trickle from the thorns along the stem,
Little did he know he was making love to a ghost,
Since the precipice had long been calling to them,
And the hope she could be cherished is what she dreamt of most.
When rain was in the air,
And the hope she could be cherished is what she dreamt of most.

House of Cards
Dealer takes all
in the House of Cards where a Queen resides;
boughs will break and angels will fall.
Golden-framed pictures displayed besides
a waning existence, truth be told,
in the House of Cards where a Queen resides.
Persephonous, ageless, yet still growing old,
she turns the air chill with a passing stride,
a waning existence, truth be told.
Porcelain beauty everlasting as cyanide,
Cyanotic, hypnotic the tiles can’t lie.
She turns the air chill with a passing stride.
She goes to the deck with a tear in her eye,
he draws her last breath,
Cyanotic, hypnotic the tiles can’t lie.
Hades her home in life and in death -
Dealer takes all -
He draws her last breath -
Boughs will break and angels will fall.
in the House of Cards where a Queen resides;
boughs will break and angels will fall.
